Happy Halloween

The weather wasn't too bad.  A bit chilly and dark clouds were coming our way when we started trick or treating but it didn't actually rain until 8 pm.  I didn't mind that as it kept the later-in-the- night teenagers away!

School Pictures 2012

Instead of buying the school pictures this year I had my friend Christine, of Christine Larsen Photography, take the girls' pictures.

They turned out great and I got a bonus picture of the two girls together.

Circus Time

A couple years ago I won tickets to see the circus and this year I won tickets again.  This time Jeff couldn't make it so we took a friend of Robyn's with us.

The girls had soooo much fun!  The theme was of the circus was dragons and they are at the age where the circus is magical.

My favorite act -- the motorcycles in the giant iron ball.

Just another day in Fall

This has been our Fall Saturdays for the past 6 years.  Now that Robyn is involved it has gotten a bit more complicated.  Annalise's season hasn't started yet so it's been pretty easy.  Ask me in a couple weeks, I might have changed my tune.

First Day of School

Off to Middle School!

Annalise trying to make her feel better.  Annalise had to leave early so her pictures were taken before Robyn had her hair combed.  This made Robyn feel very sad.

Happy now that everything is ready for second grade!

Really Mother..

I now have a 13 year old...a teenager?!?

We celebrated her birthday by going to the beach.

She had a good time with her friends.

Now I'm wondering how the next 5 years are going to go.
It's a good thing she's a good kid!

Disappointment

Robyn did great at the fair.  She turned in the same pictures as in the spring fair, and got two blue ribbons.

The county fair was disappointing to me.  I did win a second place ribbon on Robyn's dress.  The disappointing part was not placing at all on my scrap USA map.  This was a HUGE surprise to me since I won first place at the Dixon May Fair.  Definitely felt like I was robbed.  Oh well, I keep reminding myself that it's not the end of the world and just because one judge didn't like it doesn't mean it's unlikeable.

And.....there is always next year.

Taken at the Dixon May Fair, couldn't bear to take a picture at the county fair.
