Spring Break 2011-Part III
These are pictures from the girls' spring break. Their cousin came out for the week so we did some extra fun stuff just for her.
First off, we went to see the ocean. A couple of weeks ago the weather was beautiful -- the day we went, not so much. The area was socked in with fog until 5 pm, just when we were ready to leave. The girls were okay because they were running around, but I was cold sitting on the beach! We didn't get into the water. The ocean in northern California is just too cold to swim in, though people do try.
Later that week we went down to SF to go to the Zeum museum with Jeff. He must love us because he took a half day off of work! The museum was okay. I think the girls liked the carosel the best. It was the fastest ride I've ever seen.
The last night she was here, Jeff took them to a Giants game. Robyn and I stayed home. First, because it was cold (and I just don't do cold anything) and second, Robyn is still a little young to sit through a whole game. And Jeff, well, he likes to stay until the bitter end...

That's Totally Wicked
A family in our ward invited everyone over for a potluck and Easter egg hunt party. They live outside of town on a couple of acres of land. It's always fun to go to their house as they have all this space to play and enjoy the outside. The thing that captured the kids attention this time was the zip line. It went from by the house and across the pond to the other side.
Robyn wanted to do it right away but I needed to be convinced. It was just her and I at the party as Jeff was at work and Annalise was at a b-day party. So the decision was up to me and I was afraid she wouldn't be able to hold on long enough to make it to the other side. Finally I gave in and let her try (thinking she would chicken out at the last minute). With the first try she did chicken out but once some of her friends did it, she really wanted to try again. I was on pins and needles until she made it across.
She got to go on it twice and now she tells me she wants to go over to their house every week because zip lining is "totally wicked."

Spring Break 2011-Part II
For our second trip to the city we took a tour of AT&T Park. Since we got there a little early and the weather was nice we walked along the waterfront outside the stadium.
The tour was really interesting. We saw some neat places where you don't usually get to go during a regular game. This picture was taken in the press room.
We had such a great time we hope our friends come again soon!

Spring Break 2011- Part I
Our first outing was to Alcatraz Island. The older kids liked the tour but the younger ones were finished even before the audio tour was done.
(Note: I just really looked at our family picture -- Annalise is as tall as me! My fervent hope is she will end up taller than me and I think it might come true!)
